My boyfriend had guests coming to his place yesterday and wanted a cake. I had to break away from all that fondant work, decided to go back to the basics coz my shoulders are aching from doing all the kneading and the rolling of fondant, I decided to just make a simple fresh cream cake. Having an excess of mangoes and mango puree, a mango charlotte cake it would be! It was a mango sponge cake with mango whipped cream filled with fresh mangoes. Glad that his guests loved the cake :)
